About
Independent filmmaker based in Greater Manchester. I gained my BA (Hons) in Film & Media Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University (2006) and Masters degree in Fiction Film Production from the University of Salford (2007).
In 2008 I began lecturing in Creative Media Production at Burton and South Derbyshire College and since then I've taught filmmaking at Bradford College, Brooksby Melton College, Clarendon Sixth Form College and University of Worcester.
Whether working on a short film, documentary or music video, I am interested in creating work of a highly personal nature. My films often focus on the building and/or breaking down of a relationship and revolve around the universal themes of love, longing, isolation, loneliness, heartbreak and regret: Step, Wa/onder, Over and New are examples of this.
Since 2017, I have been working on my first feature film, 'X', which stars Terence J Corbett, Jennifer Hayden, Andrea Pizza and Johnny Byrom. The film was shot on locations across the UK and is aiming for a completion date of late 2019.
Alongside my personal film work, I've also provided the cinematography for a variety of projects, including 'The Raven On The Jetty' (2013), 'Cleft Lip' (2017), 'Going For Goldeneye' (2017) and 'Distraction' (2017).
Besides my independent filmmaking, I also run EP Showreels - creators of showreels and promotional videos: www.epshowreels.com
